Unable to resist the pressure of real life, there are only those old group photos that can leave a trace of thoughts. I'd be remiss not to mention Left 4 Dead, it's not so much a survival game more like an action adventure FPS, you have to move through linear levels and survive increasing levels of zombies, but it has huge replay potential because of AI that makes every playthrough different.

You could also try the original ARMA mod that lead to DayZ. There's DayZ too, but I think that game is all but alive after they milked it to death. I've heard some compare Unturned to Rust and ARK: Survival Evolved, but I think Rust is the more similar option, and I've tried and failed to like ARK for any reason. You might like State of Decay (1 and 2), it's third person and doesn't directly have hunger bars, but it does have resources you have to manage and is 100% zombies.
